FAQ: Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What program do you use to make your gifs?
A: Photoshop CS5.

Q: Where can I get it?
A: Buy it. Or sail to the Pirate Bay.

Q: How do you make your gifs? Teach me!
A: I’m soo bad at explaining things, but check out these tutorials. It’s also good to check YouTube and find some video tutorials - they’re very useful!

Q: My gifs aren’t moving when I upload them on Tumblr! Help?
A: Remember that any gifs you want to upload here, must have less than 500kB and can’t be wider than 500px. Try to delete some frames (if it’s a big gif, I usually try not to make more than 10 frames) or change the size of the gif. You can also try to make your gif just in black & white! Less colours = “lighter” gif.

Q: How do you download videos from YouTube?
A: I use Keep Tube. Usually download the high quality .mp4 files (480x360 - they’re usually bit bigger, to be honest). If I want to make a very big gif (like 500x500 or 500x600), I try to download the HD version.

Q: Do you take requests?
A: Sure! Go to my ask and tell me what do you want me to gif. It would be great if you could find a specific clip on YouTube and send me a link to it. But please, remember - better quality of the clip = better gif. So it’s worth to spend some time on searching for it ;).

Q: What’s the difference between reblogging and reposting?
A: Check out this photoset.

Q: What video are those gifs from?
A: If those gifs are not from the movie, but from interview and stuff like this, it’s highly probable that you’ll find a small “(x)” below the gif/photoset - click on it to watch the video.

Q: What movie are those gifs from?
A: Check out the tags - I use them pretty well, I think…
