Neil deGrasse Tyson: Is there some science-fiction role that you think you could or should play, or wanna play?
Alan Rickman: I’m here, willing and able to play anything, anybody, in any story, as long as it’s well written. And what does that mean? As long as it uses language, as long as it’s got ideas, as long as it’s got a point of view, as long as it’s not insulting the audience, as long as it’s taking them somewhere. (x)
Michael Hoffman (on Alan Rickman): He’s great, though. He’s great. He’s a softie underneath it all and a really, really good guy. Yeah, I was intimidated by that in the beginning a little bit, cause I’ve been a huge fan since I saw him do Valmont in Les Liaisons Dangereuses years ago.
Interviewer: So we see quite a lot of you, quite literally… What was it like filming those scenes?
